YES! First we always use LARGE PRIVATE property to hold releases where the sky lanterns do not fly off of, so our events are LEGAL as they cannot control private property. We understand our competitors are constantly claiming theirs is legal because it’s private property except they use small lands where lanterns do fly off of so their events are ILLEGAL, not legal. If we hold an event on public property we’ve been contacted by the city, etc to hold it, or we’ve blm’s approval

All posts on reditt were made by members of the mormon cult, which owns the other lantern festival companies. They post false reviews to attempt to shut us down because the cult uses the lantern festivals to lure people into their cult, and to get voters to support and vote for trump.
Admission Passes Are Required For Every Adult, Child, And Teen To Enter Our Festival. Adults And Teens Ages 12 Year Old And Older Can Only Enter If They Have A Current General Admission Pass. All Kids Ages 4-11 Must Have A Current Kids Pass And Be Accompanied By An Adult Who Has A Current Adult General Admission Pass. Kids 3- Are Free. We Currently Do Not Offer Discounts.
We do not offer refunds, however, we do allow current pass holders to sell their passes for the same price they gave for them. Since our passes never expire, we also allow current pass holders the option of attending another year. We try to be as flexible as possible. Passes are to be sold through our Fan To Fan Exchange only!
We follow the weather forecast closely leading up to the event, If the weather isn’t clear enough for a safe lantern release, the event will be rescheduled to a later date. We will post important updates on our new page here on our website and on our Facebook event page so be sure to click that you’re going so you will get notified of updates regarding the event faster.
Outside Food And Drinks Are Not Allowed At Our Festival. We Have Wide Selection Of Food Trucks Registered To Set Up At Our Events, And We Offer American Grilled/BBQ Food Plus Table Setting For Our Festivals. We Also Have Beverage Vendors Registered Which Varies By Events From Regular Beverages, Wine, Beer, And Liquor. Unopened Bottles Of Water Is Allowed At Our Events.
As part of our security policy, we require a current, state issued, (event location) drivers license to attend the event. Further, your license must match the address given when ordering, as well as your name.
Absolutely NOT!! If caught, and you will be, your passes will be instantly revoked without warning, and without a refund for breaking our security policy. No exceptions will be made.
Parking Passes are required to attend our event. The only parking available is within festival grounds. Walk up’s and drop offs are NOT allowed! If a parking pass isn’t purchased, you will have to wait to attend until you purchase a parking pass and attend the next event date.
YES!! Attendees have one week after purchasing admission passes to fully complete the activation form with real information. No Late submissions will be excepted!!
Lights Over America doesn’t have late or at the gate tickets. Our competitors usually never check to see if people actually have tickets so some think we won’t either. This brings chaos to an actual organized event, and possibly a situation like Astroworld Festival. To prevent this we do not list the actual location of our events. Attendees get the location in their check-in package that comes via regular mail.
Proposals are only allowed with approval from LOA, can only happen at events with Tangled Packages. If a location doesn’t have Tangled Packages listed, proposals are NOT allowed to happen at that event.
Due to the fact proposals distract other attendees and individuals have a habit of not watching where they’re going and can trip into a fire pit, or walk into a tiki torch and catch fire, proposals are only allowed at locations with water. Proposals happen in the water on a row boat for two away from attendees. You might say that’s horrible but it’s more romantic and straight out of the Disney movie than surrounded by strangers falling into fire pits.
To abide by our event insurance if an individual is caught trying to propose at a location it’s banned in, it will be immediately stopped and you will be escorted out of the event. If caught before the event, your entry will be revoked without warning and without a refund, and you will be banned from all LOA future events.

All the false reviews posted online are made by our competitors, the lds mormon cult, which own the other lantern festival companies such as “night lights event” “the lights fest” “rise festival” “water lantern festival” “viive events” “cool events” “one world lantern” and many more. We see them pretend their making complaints and threatening false lawsuits, except they know we have their email messages, and live chats that show those who did actually buy passes, were making violent, physical threats, towards the company and owner. Our owner is a female and the cult demands women hand companies over to males. We’re not cult members.

Due to competitors having moved up to threatening our events, we wait until the week before the event to give out the venue location. We also have desert events so there is no address for those locations, just coordinates
Some Of Our Festival Locations Do Offer Glamping Options, As Well As Tent Camping, Car Camping, Van Camping. Camping Spots Are Limited And Are Usually Offered During Our Desert Lantern Festivals And Have Designated Parking Spots In Our Camping Area. If You Purchase A Camping, Or Glamping Option, Regular Parking Passes Are Not Needed To Be Purchased As Well.
If you’re interested in setting up as a vendor at one of our events please fill out the online application on our vendors page, if you’re chosen for a spot, we will send an approval email and let you know to pay your vendor fee. If vending fee isn’t paid within one week your spot will be given to someone else. Applications should be submitted one year before the event date you’re interested in. We don’t offer free vendor spots.
What is the Fan To Fan Exchange? Our Fan To Fan Exchange Program is where current attendees can sell their entry passes and where future attendees can buy passes for discounted prices, or just purchase from attendees who wish to sell theirs.
Lights Over America is a private event which has entry passes instead of tickets. Passes are name specific, not date specific, and never expire until used to check-in. Lights Over America does not provide any services, we’re a festival, not a event planner, you don’t hire us to hold the event for you at a certain date or specific location, you purchase entry into our private event. Therefor we do not allow proposals, birthday parties, wedding receptions, gender reveal parties, funeral memorials, etc.
Proposals are allowed at our sister company Oceanside Lantern Festival. They have the ultimate proposal packages and are held out in the ocean.
